FCI ST50/ST51 Gas flow measurement
FCI flow meters for gases (gas mass flow meters) use the thermal dispersion measuring technique. Two pins (thermo elements) are immersed in the medium to be measured. One pin, the active temperature sensor (PT1000) is heated, the other PT1000 measures the temperature. The passing medium causes a cooling effect, which is measured as a temperature difference (Delta T) and calculated in the device. This measuring system does not require a measuring computer or additional sensors. A single process connection is sufficient. The sensors are designed to be extremely robust and durable.
ST 50: for air (compressed air) and nitrogen

FCI ST80/ST100 gas flow measurement with adaptive sensor technology
FCI flow meters for gases (gas mass flow meters) use thermal dispersion measurement technology. (For more information on the measuring principle, see ST50/51) This means that a single process connection is sufficient. Due to their design, the sensors are extremely robust and durable.
The ST80 and ST100 sensors can be equipped with different sensor heads (also for wet gases). They have 4-20 mA outputs in accordance with NAMUR, all bus communications and are SIL 1 approved. The clear display shows the measured values graphically and digitally. The sensors are suitable for pipes up to 2500 mm in diameter. Larger pipe diameters are equipped with up to 3 sensors.
